National Warrior of Pahang
(Tok Gajah)

Imam Rasu bin Shahrum or also known as Tok Gajah was a national warrior of Pahang that helping to get rid of colonizer from the state. Tok Gajah is father to the Malay warrior of Pahang, Mat Kilau which also fight to  get freedom from colonizer between year 1891 to 1985. In year 1891 until 1985, there had been several uprising in Pahang in vengeance to the ruler of the state. He with his son's named Mat Kilau, together with Datuk Bahaman and Datuk Maharaja Lela had fought against British colonialism in order to get rid Pahang from the British colonialism because of their trickery in trying to take over the ruling of Pahang.

Tok Gajah or Imam Rasu was a famous Malay warrior of Pahang with his strong fighting spirit, an indomitable faith and will that lead him to face the fully armed British soldier bare-handed in order to get rid of British colonialism from take over the ruling of Pahang.
Besides that, Tok Gajah  had a huge influence and was much respected and feared by the British because of his strong fighting spirit that make him would do anything to keep Pahang free from colonialism. Tok Gajah is also the main advisor of the Sultan in all aspects regarding Pahang which covered many area.


Sarawak National Warrior
(Rentap)

Among famous figures of the Iban tribe is a brave warrior named Rentap. As it were with other districts in Sarawak, Betong had its own history of opposing the invasion of the British colonials.

Rentap or Libau (died in 1863) was a famous Dayak (Iban) warrior in Sarawak, Malaysia during the Brooke White Rajahs era in that state. Rentap in Iban means ' Worldshaker'. He was also known as "Raja Darat" or "Raja Ulu".

 The warrior Rentap had fought against the white colonial regime led by Rajah Brooke between 1840-1860 in Layar as well as along Skrang River. In order to hold down the rebellion, The Brooke Regime had built a defense fort named ' Fort Lily', which was later used as an administration center in 1858. The Iban rebellion led by Rentap was finally ended when the Brooke Regime had made three massive attacks in year 1857, 1858 and 1861.

Rentap managed to escape and fled into the jungle near Bukit Sibau.He dieda few years later, still in hiding. In Malaysia, he is not only renowned in Sarawak but he is also a national hero in both Sabah and the Peninsula as both a national hero and a freedom fighter.
